For educational purposes, I want to know if you could activate a iTunes gift card yourself if you stole it?
For example, if I scan a gift card by scanning through a U-SCAN at a store, but then cancel the purchase, is the gift card activated and ready to use, and someone would have to do is walk out of the store with it?

  1. No. It’s actually activated at the register when paid for by default. The moment the payment goes through the computer recognizes it as legitimate to personally activate. Every card has to go through the computer first. Why would they make em so easy to grab otherwise. Put the card in the trash sparky.

  2. If your that desperate to get cash on a itunes gift card do what I do I go to the store I scratch off the card and I write the code on my hand and when someone purchases it You go back to your house get on itunes and enter the code that you scratched off the card that someone purchased and redeem it before the person who bought it redeems it

I did this on a $100.00 itunes gift card before and it works
